Virden Regional Multi-Purpose Facility

Location: 900-5th Avenue S Virden, Manitoba

The Virden Arena project consisted of the construction of a 65,000 ft², 1200 seat arena, community center and related site development. This registered LEED project targeting Silver designation features The Freon ice plant which serves as the main heating and cooling source for the facility and is expandable to accommodate a future attached curling facility. The project includes a fully functional kitchen to service the arena as well as a separate kitchen to service the community hall. The project also included change rooms and showers for the adjacent outdoor pool and playground areas.
